2nd International Workshop on Security of the Internet of Everything

(SecIoE-2017)

Helsinki, Finland, 21-23 August, 2017

Since its inauguration, the Internet has dramatically changed our daily lives. The Internet of Everything (IoE), recently coined by Cisco, interconnects people, process, data and things to make networked connections more relevant and valuable than ever before. However, IoE will crash and burn if security does not come first. We already learned lessons on the design of popular networking protocols, and operating systems. The challenge is simply much greater in IoE, as people, process, data and things are central in the network, in addition to traditional PCs, smart phones and sensors. This workshop aims at bringing fruitful discussions on potential solutions to this great challenge.

Scope and Topics of Interest

Topics of Interest include (but are not limited to) the following subject categories

  1. Threat and attack analysis to IoE applications
  2. Physical layer security for wireless systems
  3. Secure networking protocol design
  4. Cross-layer design of security solutions
  5. Light-weight security solutions for embedded systems
  6. Human privacy in IoE applications (ex. E-health)
  7. Reliability and fault tolerance
  8. Formal verification of security protocols
  9. Traffic modeling and analysis, and its security applications
  10. User authentication and intrusion detection
  11. Secure gateways and proxies design
  12. In-network data storage and cloud service from a security point of view
  13. Business models on IoE security services
  14. Etc.
